through Georgia Military road
This is the historic name for the major route through Caucasus, from Georgia to Russia. Military Road runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia), 208 km. There are very interesting places to visit on the way. Ananuri fortress from XVI century, Lake Jinvali, Enormous mountains and landscapes, Panoramic views and Peak Kazbegi with a beautiful "Gergeti Trinity Churh" on the side mountain top.

Tour plan and highlights:

In the morning we leave for Stepantsminda (Kazbegi);

After an hour trip we stop at Ananuri church complex and have a little rest;

After seeing the complex we continue trip towards Stepantsminda town;

After an hour travel we will have a rest near the ski resort Gudauri at the famous platform, from where we can see beautiful sights at Pasanauri region and its' mountainous massifs;

Further we will drive through Jvari pass to the monument “Treaty of Georgievsk" from where there are Gorgeous views to see;

After seeing the monument we continue our trip to the direction of Stepantsminda; (we will have two short stop on the well-known volcanic spring struck from the ground)

Dinner in Stepantsminda;

After the dinner we go to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church to see views on Peak Kazbegi and Kuro mountains (2 hours of trekking or hiring 4x4 Jeep);

Heading back to Tbilisi.

Hitler VS Stalin
Uplistsikhe Grand Hall

Everyone knows Adolf Hitler but not everyone knows Joseph Stalin. Comrade Stalin was from Gori, small Georgian town which nowadays hosts his Museum. This tour gives you possibility to find out more about the life of Stalin, understand more about WWII and on the other hand explore ancient rock-hew cave town Uplistsikhe from II millennium BC along with the old capital Mtskheta on the way.

In the morning we will drive to Gori city;

We will be in Gori in an hour and half, where we can see the musum of Joseph Stalin, Wooden hat where he was born and his railway carriage:

After the museum we will have a dinner;

After finishing the dinner and having a little rest we will start the second part of the tour, during which we will visit the cave-town of Uplitsikhe and see the sights around;

After Uplistsikhe we will travel to Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia, where we will visit the beautiful cathedral – Svetitskhoveli;

After Svetitskhoveli we will drive on Jvari monastery

After we will head back to Tbilisi.

Uplistikhe is about 100 km away from Tbilisi. The first part of the tour in Uplistsikhe town-museum is about 2 hours of walking, therefore comfortable walking shoes are required.

Geographically the tour consists of Eastern Georgia, Kakheti region. During the tour, we will see Bodbe monastery and the most beautiful Sighnaghi ,the fortified town. We will arrange excursion around Sighnaghi city and see the important sights and museums. In the fields of the tour, we will have a dinner in a Georgian restaurant in Sighnaghi and taste Kakhetian traditional food and of course wine in wine cellars. The tour is ideal for active rest and relaxation.

In the morning we will go towards Bodbe nunnery;

After about an hour and half, we will see Bodbe nunnery; (the nunnery is the most beautiful and important orthodox complex among all nunneries in Georgia, there is a panoramic view to Alazani valley)

After the nunnry, we will go towards Sighnaghi;

Dinner in a traditional Georgian restaurant; (Sighnaghi)

After dinner and a short rest, we will have excursion around Sighnaghi; (during excursion we will be discussing stories about the town: visiting house of Georgian wine, Stepantsminda Church, central museum of the city and the vivid narrow streets of Sighnaghi);

After excursion in Sighnaghi we will have a time for free walking;

At the end of the tour we will return to the capital city - Tbilisi.

Wine production in Georgia has 8000 years old history. Georgia is a "motherland" of wine. There are about 500 varieties of grape grown in Georgia and also produced well-known red and white wines. Georgian traditional way of wine production in ‘Qvevri” (clay vessel positioned into the ground) is included in UNESCO's Intangible world heritage list. Almost every family in the countryside of Kakheti region is a winegrower and keeps Qvevri wine making tradition.
